Chris worked with Marc Doyle in 2007 while studying at Wintec in Hamilton. The knowledge and experience Marc shared were invaluable. After qualifying, Chris contracted and managed an arboricultural team in England for two years—the exposure to large, technical jobs built on his experience even further.
When he returned to New Zealand in 2009, he bought the business from Marc. Since owning the business, Chris has enjoyed the transition from arborist on the tools to working and growing a business and team of talented individuals. In addition, Chris enjoys making things with his hands, drawing, and skiing in his spare time.
Kyle Hallett
Sales & Client Relationships and Arborist Team Leader
Level 4 Certificate in Arboriculture
Kyle started his journey with Marc Doyle Tree work in May 2021. With over ten years of experience, he has a vast range of skills and knowledge in the arboriculture industry. Kyle was ready for a change and decided to join the business as the values aligned with his, and he enjoys the work style. In addition, Kyle likes spending time with his family and friends and going to the beach.

Rocky Pepper
Gardener - Crew Leader
Level 4 Certificate in Horticulture - Landscape Design
Rocky joined Marc Doyle Treework in 2026 as our Crew Leader for the Gardening Services Team.
Rocky is an enthusiastic gardener with over 8 years industry experience including running her own business in Landscape Design and garden maintenance. Rocky is full of great advice about plants and highly skilled in best growing and garden maintenance practices.
When she’s not at work, you’ll usually find Rocky in her own garden, out hiking, or spending time with her family.
Graham Garrett
Stump Grinder Operator
Graham joined Marc Doyle Treework in 2023 as our dedicated stump grinder operator. He's an all-round practical guy and never shy about getting stuck into all sorts of hard work including assisting our arborists on site. He's a really valuable guy to have on our team.
Graham is a passionate machinery man, who loves anything with an engine and has a background in sales and management of commercial machinery. In his spare time, he is usually found climbing the Hakarimata's, working on or off-roading in his 4x4 or spending treasured time with his grandkids.
Liam Klaus
Arborist Team Leader
Level 4 Certificate in Arboriculture
Liam joined us in 2024 as a young Arborist and it quickly became clear that he would be a team leader. He showed a strong technical ability early on, backed by a real passion for his work and a genuine care for people.
Liam loves working outside and having a different work place everyday keeps it interesting. He enjoys seeing the outcome of every job and the client feedback is what makes it all worth it.
Liam is also one of our youngest dads in our team and he loves spending time with his son and partner. When he has time, he likes to play soccer.
Jeremiah Shannon
Arborist
Level 4 Certificate in Arboriculture
Jeremiah (Jerry) has been with us since 2020. Jerry started his apprenticeship in arboriculture because he wanted a manual job with a variety and working in nature. As he is learning new skills, he enjoys getting up in the trees more and more.
In addition, Jerry likes playing soccer and rugby league and spending time with his family and friends in his spare time.

Joseph Russell-Shaw
Arborist
Level 3 Certificate in Arboriculture
Joseph started with us as a young Arborist in 2025 and quickly became a valued member of the team. Joseph is passionate about developing his skills and knowledge as an Arborist and is working towards completing a Level 4 Certificate in Arboriculture.
Joseph takes pride in doing quality work and being part of a team working together.
Outside of work, Joseph is dedicated to training in MMA. He also has a keen interest in Japanese culture.
Lilly Salter
Trainee Arborist
Lilly joined us in 2026 on a part-time basis while she is working towards a Level 3 Certificate in Arboriculture at Wintec.
Lilly loves being outdoors and when she's not studying, she works on her car project and spends time with her dog.
Craig Lamb
Arborist Consultant
Diploma in Arboriculture (Level 6)
Craig has been a part of the Marc Doyle Treework team since 2019. He started working for us as an Arborist Team Leader and then shifted into consulting work and working with Wintec and Primary ITO. He brings a lot of knowledge and experience and in addition, Craig is a great mentor. He is part of the NZARB tree climbing committee and is a climbing competition facilitator.
Craig assists us with formal tree advice and Arboricultural Reports when needed. Craig loves spending time with his family, reading and learning about trees.
